Art Chic Nails, Perfect for Art Lovers!

So today, I want to show you how to create this cute paint "splatter" nails. It is a very simple nail look that many people will compliment you on(believe me, I wore this nail look for about a week now and I have gotten endless amounts of comments on how pretty they look).

So lets get STARTED!!

So the nail polishes that you need are:
-One Nail polish that will act as the background/base color (I use white, but you can use black, or whatever color you like)
-5 Different colors of your choice (I used 4 reg. nail polish and a nail art pen)

(from L-R) Milani HighSpeed FastDry in #22 White on the Spot, Revlon #571 Posh, Milani Nail Art #705 Draw In Pink, Milani Nail Art #707 Blue Print

Sally Hansen Nail Art Pen "Red"(Top), Sally Hansen Color Quick "Purple"(Bottom)
 The MATERIALS needed:
-Paper (I used index cards)
-Toothpick
1) Apply clear base coat to act as a protection for your nails and to also prevent nails from yellowing.
2) Apply your background color. I am using white because it reminds me of a white canvas that your getting ready to draw on.
3) Then add a drop of your first color nail polish choice on a piece of paper(I'll be using green first) and using a toothpick, dip it into the nail polish and start dotting your nails. Then start swerving the toothpick from side to side as if you are painting.
4) Let that dry for 30 seconds or so and then move on to the next color of choice. And do the same thing for dotting and swerving.

5) Keep doing this until you are satisfied with the colors on the nails.
Here, I added red

Then added blue then pink
6) After you are done, let it dry completely for about 2 minutes then add top coat to seal in the design.

There are many ways to do this for example I started at the tip of the nail and then gradually worked my way towards the middle or working from the bottom of the nail and working your way up(see my thumb for example). This is a pretty easy nail art that can be done with BOTH hands since its just a bit of a sloppy nail look that can look chic at the same time.

Natural Smokey Eye Makeup for SCHOOL!

So today, I want to share my most favorite makeup look that I have been sporting for this past Summer and I will definitely be wearing this look for an everyday school appropriate makeup. I just love this look because it looks almost effortless and it doesn't look too much for school.

Its a really simple look that takes about 10 minutes and for this look, I am NOT using any foundation or blush because I find that its not really necessary to wear foundation/blush everyday for school but if you need to use it, by all means, do so but other then that, lets get STARTED!!

BASICS!!!
(From Left to Right) Clean&Clear Dual Action Moisturizer. Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles, Almay Wakeup Powder, EOS lip balm Strawberry Sorbet
So first step before doing anything, MOISTURIZE YOUR FACE! It's a great way to hydrate the face before applying makeup because:
-it creates a nice thin layer on the skin so that we don't have any flakiness or skin peeling
-when you sleep, you tend to sweat so by the time you wake up, your skin is a bit dry
So here I am using Clean & Clear Dual Action Moisturizer that is oil free, which is great! After applying moisturizer, I like to apply some lip balm, so I use EOS lip balm in Strawberry Sorbet.

OK TIME FOR MAKEUP!
1) Conceal your dark circles,  imperfections, acne scars, etc. Dot the area and then DAB the concealer with your ring finger, NOT SMOOTHING IT OUT because this will create wrinkles and fine lines around the eye area.(here I'm using Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Dark Circles in #40 Honey Miel).

2) Set your concealer with powder. Lightly brush it in areas that you place concealer at because this will help the concealer not get into the creases of your skin and let it stay put. (I am using Alway Wake Up Hydrating Makeup in #40 Neutral)
Milani Shadow Eyez in #03 Champagne Toast(Top)

3) Use a eye primer(a inexpensive one is Elf Eyelid Primer), or in this case, a cream pencil in a shade of a light beige or cream color all over lids. Right below is the area that you need to put it on. (I am using Milani Shadow Eyez in #03 Champagne Toast)

4) Next I will use a light pinkish-cream pastel eyeshadow and use my ring finger to spread this color from the inner corners of my eyes to the mid-eyelid. (I am using Maybelline ExpertWear eyeshadow duo Chic Naturals in 65D Dusk *the light pink one)

5) Then use the light soft brown for the outer corner of the eye and use a brush to create a sideways "V" shape to create dimension and a soft smokey eye. Then using your fingers or fluffy blending brush to lightly brush the harsh outer edges of the look so that it looks natural. (*the brown color of the mini palette)

Elf Professional Defining Eye Brush

6) After that, apply some eyeliner(I'm using Maybelline Master Precise in Black). Then a soft brown eyeliner for my bottom and I'm only lining it halfway(I'm using Styli-Style Line & Seal 24 Twist in #174 Topaz).
Styli-Style Line&Seal 24Twist in #174 Topaz (Middle), Maybelline Master Precise in Black(Bottom)

7) After that, apply your favorite mascara to your top and bottom lashes. I'm using three because my lashes suck butt so I like using The Falsies first for volume, then illegal length for length. Then I use Flirt! for my bottom lashes.
(From L-R)Maybelline Illegal Length, Maybelline The Falsies, Flirt!Far Out Lengthening
8) Apply your lip color choice, be it lipstick or lip gloss or maybe a lip tint, but I would go for a subtle lip color that looks natural. I won't be wearing any lip colors because I just prefer lip balm for this look.

DONE!!
Alright! So this look was a pretty simple look that easy to achieve. If you have any questions or comments, please do so below.

Eventually I will upload a video tutorial on this look but until then, please bear with me.

Thank you so much and until next time, have fun with this look!

Back to School ALREADY?!

Alright guys, its that time of year again and its time to go back to school. Where has this Summer gone?! Its crazy! Anyways, so as we go back to school, the whole country goes into a frenzy to go buy school supplies, buy new clothes for the Fall season, and doing last minute vacations to the beach or hanging out with friends. It's pretty scary. I know. So I'm planning to write here for the next week or two, giving advice for those of you that goes to high school or college. I will be putting up cute back to school outfits, hair ideas, nail looks, makeup, and advice to newcomers to school.

This school year, I will be a senior(12th grade) in high school. Its a VERY scary thought to think that "Omg, its my last year of high school before I'm going out to the real world". Yes, but don't worry! It won't be scary as long as you can think positive thoughts.

So first off, when you start growing older, people will start asking "So, what college are you going to?" or "What are you gonna be doing as your everyday job?" and not gonna lie, I had NO idea what I was going to do. I had wanted to become a singer and sell my songs but...I grew up and decided to think real. So I decided to become a pharmacist. Now you're probably saying "that's a great decision" but...funny thing is, I only started pursuing that occupation to satisfy my parent's worries. Being an Asian that I am, I grew up in a strict family. You were expected to get great grades, be excellent at anything. But I wasn't the "perfect" Asian that my brother was. I had some good grades...and not so good grades. I never really had any idea what I was going to do. I never really researched any jobs I would pursue and what type of colleges would be perfect for any majors I'm interested in. I wasn't sure if I was going to stay home for college or live out of state for college. I had so many questions about what I was going to do. So after about 2-3 years of thinking of what I was going to do, something came up and I was like "Wow. I think I might like this." Now you're probably wondering "what is this job that this girl is talking about?". Well I decided to become a cosmetologist that dealt with skin and beauty. Now you're probably thinking "Doesn't this girl mean dermatologist?". No, I mean like legit, cosmetology. So I will explain this story in another future posting coming up in a couple days but until then, you will have to wait.

So I will NOW begin giving out ideas and advice for those who wants knowledge about school.
Also, here's a cute picture of my dog, Coco, since this post have no pictures what so ever.
And a picture of a koala that I thought was ADORABLE!

Well until then, CIAO!! See you guys!
